East wind finally dropped out today so we drove up and jumped on the marathon lady. Tried fishing large baits for a mutton or big mangrove but nothing was happening lots of sm bites although I caught a throwback mutton and a 6 lb red grouper. I switched to my light spin rod and weeded through the yellow tails to get enough for dinner I also caught a big Toro which are bright red and really good eating. I’m chumming up a spot in stock island harbor at night with fish trimmings trying to lure some big tarpon. I’ll let you know if it works…

We are now booking charters for 1-12 people out of Montauk. We will start fishing in April for spring cod and blackfish. For more information or to book a charter, please contact us at 516-885-1932 or CaptMarkMontauk@gmail.com
