I fished on the Capt Michael out of Robbie’s Marina in Islamorada. I had good action with ballyhoo plugs fished on knocker rigs.  Had 5 throwback red grouper, a nice mangrove,3 yellow tails, a Toro, and broke off a really nice fish that shredded me in the bottom. Had another unidentified large fish on for about a min and then pulled the hook. Capt joey and crew do a good job trying to put you on fish . They chum heavy and have quality bait. I fished with two spinning rods, one with 12 lb for tails and one with 20lb for sm grouper other snappers, kingfish, etc., which is all you need . Hope you all are slaying the cod!
