The wind machine shut down long enuf to get an offshore trip in. In 90ft we boated a dozen mangroves to 10lbs, several muttons to 8lbs and some chunky vermillions. Big bull sharks were a nuisance stealing some really nice fish. All and all a beautiful day with flat seas 80 degree air temp and plenty of action.
We have been having shark problems for years but never this bad. They have been following the trollers shredding sailfish, kings and Mahi. On the reefs the hang under the boat picking and choosing which fish they want. Naturally they don't want triggers, verms or any smaller fish. They only attack the chunky snappers and groupers. They have learned to let the fisherman catch the fish for them. Quite a sight though seeing a 400lb bull follow a snapper right to the transome and chomping it down. Awesome sight.
