Caught a young Banded Rudder fish yesterday on the west side of the Ponquogue bridge. My father caught one two days ago to the east of where I was. Any other anglers catching them? I didn't know they spent time here. I thought they were a Florida fish. Pray for a productive fall. Tight lines!

We catch them all the time offshore under the buoys. They come up with the Gulf Stream waters in the summertime.

There should plenty of them hanging around the Shinnecock Sea Buoy.

Small Kastmasters or small pieces of bait on a small hook being cast or dropped overboard should do the trick.

I caught one a couple of years ago while snapper fishing in the Sound near Jamesport. It was a great fight on a little rod!
