Traveled to Winter Island MA for the NEKF Striper Shootout. Had a blast. While my 29 inch striper did have me briefly in contention for the Winter Island (camp and launch) division, it was all I caught other than a couple of schoolies. I got mine on the troll. Big fish (44-46") were caught using bait and big Hogies and not necessarily in the deep water. The folks up in Massachusetts - sporties and commercial alike - were friendly and helpful, with one guy letting me know a big bunker pod was coming my way and a lobsterman tipping me off as to where he'd released a big bass from his pot. Beautiful terrain and it's bass heaven with all that rocky structure. Can't wait to get back.

Ten miles south seems to be the area past few years. Road trip from camp may be in order. Glad you guys had a good time. Bring a big pot next year the lobster guy moors off the camp.
I ended up with second place with a 30.5” Saturday in the Winter Island Division.

Good luck out east.

Congratulations on the award! I loved that shoreline. Lots of places for a bass to ambush bait.
