It's been an OK fluke year to date, but nothing of any substantial size to report. Today turned that around with a 29" 9lb summer flounder, that was admired and released back into Jamaica Bay. Finished off the day with another healthy 24" fish that hit a sea robin strip on a homemade bucktail. (That one made it to the fillet table) It sure felt good to feel those big fish head shakes and waiting to get that first look as it rose to the boat.

Congratulations on the nine pounder. Sometimes a fish like that can make the whole season. Hopefully we get some more consistency with these fluke like years ago
