Had first-time togger Nick out for a quick trip on Thursday afternoon in advance of the Arctic blast. One-stop shopping in 15’ of water. Double-limit plus in just under two hours on jigs, mostly using Asian crabs. Two 5-pounders were in the mix, but nothing huge. Hoping this cold snap won’t shut down the shallow bite that has just gotten great.

Pair of good ones

Nice work - The shallow bite should stay for a bit - still had warm water yesterday (60+). Plus the deeper bite is turning on, bass jigging is turning on - many options!

Smart move to get out ahead of the deep freeze. Nice catch. Glad you found a couple of keepers.

Good job josh. I threw the towel in and had boat wrapped up. Haven't heard the end of it from my friends! I'll be heading out east Sunday to jump on the primetime. Your a smart man I'm sure you'll have a few more days on cooperative weather.

Nice!

Sounds like a great day. The only thing better than catching blackfish is eating them for dinner!

Nice fish, Josh! Looks like you made another blackfish convert. Now you need to figure out a way to get Nick's brother out there w/o the chumming action.
