Yes Joe, he launched in Cold Spring Harbor swamped the yak late Sat. Tried to get in but the tide carried him out to the sound and he ended up at a lighthouse off the SW Corner of Norwalk, CT>

Heavy South wind here in the sound is notorious for carrying Kayers off the Island. Some unfortunately who weren't as fortunate as this person.

I heard about that guy on the yak. Glad he is ok. I see people all the time out there on small craft who don't seem to be aware of the potential dangers. They don't call it "Devil's Pass" for no reason. Russel Crowe had a little problem out there not too long ago.

When I was getting ready to pull anchor, a few guys in a boat were setting up near me. They were out to catch porgies as bait for some night fishing. I threw them some x bait i had aboard. I think his name was Ken. Hopefully they had some luck.

thank goodness everything turned out allright, and the individual was found and saved. the weather was forecast to turn sour that afternoon, and that it did! 6pm it was absolutely honking outside. couldn't imagine myself paddling through the sound when its standing up.
