Late start this morning. Wanted to make sure the wife and kids were happy before I left da house. Wanted to fish a different location and try a modified fluke rig. Tried a triple setup today!

High - 4" white Gulp Alive Mullet w/ red Fatcow strip

Mid - 4" chartreuse Gulp Alive Mullet w/ yellow/white Uncle Josh strip

Bottom - chartreuse Spro bucktail w/ 4" chartreuse Gulp Alive Mullet and red Fatcow strip

On the water around 7am, caught the beginning 2nd hour into the ebb, zero wind, flat calm, no no-see-ems (thank goodness), not much for drift so I created my own 1 kt with the pedal drive. Searched the area I could easily fish within the allotted time very very thoroughly. Found a small ledge at the mouth, 7 to 16' drop off. That's where a few fish were sitting. 1 fluke, 2 birds and about 5 missed strikes, all within 15 mins.

Still saw some peanut size bait fish around and being chased. Very small pods though. No birds working hard but I did see a cormorant or two. Overall a very beautiful morning to be out on the water.

Ran into a super nice ole timer name Jim. He confirmed a couple more spots I want to fish. He also recommended chumming. I may take him up on that suggestion tomorrow am. The invite is open my friends!

Hey, anyone else ever tried a triple fluke rig and if so what are your thoughts and what were the results?

Still waiting to catch something bigger!
