Hadn't been out to the Point since before all the rain moved through. Hoping to pick up where I'd left off. No such luck. Tried the top of the tide because outgoing can be a little dicey in a kayak. Timing is everything. Trolled with a friend from midnight to nearly 4am with nothing to show for it but a pair of bluefish. Things seemed to be picking up a little during outgoing - We were starting to mark more fish, likely just blues from the size - but nothing like I had last time out.



That's why they call it "fishing" and not "catching." Back to the drawing board.
