Fishing method Boat
« Previous Report Next Report »

The Peconic Star II sailed today for porgies and will continue to due so through Monday when the season officially closes. The porgy fishing today was very good with most fares going home with a limit and many close to it. The porgies that were caught today were large to jumbos so catch them up while you still can because there are only two days left in the bonus season. Rods were bent from the start to finish of today's trip and the porgies even bite through the strength of the tide which proves that they want to chew and there are many scup around. The weather report for the rest of the weekend will be very similar to today with light winds and warm weather which will be a nice way to end the porgy season on Monday. For those of you that are looking to make another trip to put a nice catch together now is the time as the fish are plentiful and there are some true North Fork jumbos out there!
