So the wife n I are watching tv on sunday when we hear a boom and smoke i ran to the window n saw smoke cloud,then saw the boat move to the middle of the bay and sink,Anyone know what happened?

It wasn't by Tanner Park it was in Amityville, don't know what happened, saw a helicopter hovering & suffolk police boat responding.

heard the distress on radio dont know exactly what happened tho.. hope everyone is alright

it looked like a '30 fountain type boat. 2 people on board were picked up passing boaters. A bay constable attached a line and TowBoat US towed it to shallow water near the marshes. Amityville FD first on scene made a attempt at the fire but were not equiped. Amityville FD were on a walkaround with a small hose. Copaigue FD (center console equiped) showed up along with a unnamed REd water rescue boat (center console equipped) with more powerful hoses...They put it out. Amity could only watch..

Jeep that is Funny, But the Fire isnt I mean thats nuts that there was a Boat fire. Damn scary feelings.
