8/27 to 9/2

Fluking slowed down during the first part of the week but the seabass action kept the rods bending. Chris Hines and friends were aboard Wed PM and had a good mixed bag of seabass and porgies. Thursday brought steady action with seabass and porgies when Hannah Garcia landed a great 8 lb fluke for the pool! Friday morning remained busy with 5 keeper fluke and a bunch of seabass, but action slowed in the afternoon. The seabass bite was back on Saturday morning with about 50 seabass and a 4 lb pool fluke for Andy Lauriquet. The afternoon pool fish belonged to David Tilly from South London! No fluke on Sunday but enough seabass, Harry M took the pool with his 4 lber.

This weeks rod and reel winner is Keith O'Connor!

9/3 to 9/9

What a week- wind, wind and dirty water. When we could sneak out there were some fluke and seabass but things were tough. One highlight was Mike Meyers 6 lb 12 oz fluke on Tuesday morning. The winds finally calmed some on the weekend but the water was still a mess. The seabass did bite on Sunday along with a couple of keeper fluke and a big triggerfish.

This weeks rod and reel winner is Liz Forde!

9/14 to 16

Finally got off the dock on Friday morning and found the fluke biting. Six keepers and some seabass with Eddie Hartman taking the pool. Steady action in the afternoon but no keeper fluke. Seabass, bluefish and a keeper striper kept rods bent with a 12 lb blue for Peter Hopkins. Good action with some quality fluke on Saturday morning. Kathy Cutrone's 8 lb 12 oz fluke took the pool followed closely by young David Mailes 7 lber! David had another keeper, some seabass and a bluefish. In the afternoon a beauty 5 lb sebass for Jim Streibel. More bass started to show on Sunday morning when regular Trevor landed a keeper bass and Mr Yun has a 28 lb striper. In the afternoon Brendan Strein's 5 lb fluke took the pool when a 6 lber was'nt in the pool! It looks like more bait and birds showing up at the point and EBB TIDE will be fishing for striped bass with live eels and jigs by Thursday.

This weeks rod and reel winner is Sandy Hartman!

We started striper fishing this weekend with some good results. Jigging on Friday saw a bunch of blues and 1 keeper bass. Things starrted to pick up on Sat AM with a good shot of blues and a few more bass on eels. Julia Caple was the pool winner with a 22 lb bass. In the afternoon more of the same with 5 nice keepers to 31 lbs for Mike Fortunato. Mondays Am trip had 5 more keepers and a 35 lb striper for Peter P.

9/28 and 9/29

Sat Am started off slow with very little tide but still managed a nice 30 lb pool winner. Things got a lot better in the afternoon with 22 bass and 9 keepers. Thirteen year old TJ Devany had an 8 lb blue on his first trip to Montauk and Jake rush landed a 25 lb bass on a jig. Pool fish was 31 lbs. On Sunday morning TJ Devany was back aboard catching 2 stripers to 22 lbs and losing a third close to the boat. Good job TJ!. Young David Maile once again showed dad how it's done taking the pool with a 25 lb bass! Good action until we lost the tide.
