A friend from the office turned me on to your site a few weeks ago and find the info in the discussion boards is OK but the reports section is kind of a joke. Why is there not a separate party/charter area reports/advertising section? Seems like most of the reports give no details and are full of shameless advertising. In back dating reports trying to see patterns in weather, tides and movement of fish there are even a lot of reports that start from regular fisherman full of info and then become charter captains and shut down there quality reports - Fishing was insane, fished the Atlantic ocean for multiple species, see photo, come on my boat. Has it always been like this?

There is a separate section for them right here
Party Boat and Charter Boat Running Reports
but they are not limited to just posting there they can post in the report section just like everyone else.

Not me in the boat - poor attempt at comedy (useless reports = useless photo) maybe this one will get better reviews. Come abroad here is my mate.

I used to be unhappy with the "We caught fish!" style reports too, but I got over it. There are enough informative reports, or at least entertaining ones, and I don't have to read the rest.

I do think that there is info that the pros can add sometimes like type of bait, water depth, tide, etc. that wouldn't spot burn and wouldn't hurt their bottom line, but to each their own. I know that the more shameless advertisers are unlikely to get my business in favor of the ones that are part of the community.

Different Windows

Funny, you think some reports are worthless because they don't tell you where, or how, to fish.

Others aren't too interested in the location of the fish, or what is catching them, but only what for-hire boats are doing well, so that they may plan their next trip.

Selfishness is in the eyes of the beholder, no?

Exactly, get an idea whats in the area and go find your own. Beats me why anybody would want to fish next to a large head boat with a school of baited hooks beneath it. Thats a lot of compitition
