A nice mixed bag trip on the Marlin VI Princess, fluke, sea bass, scup and blues.
The fluke bite turned as the wind dropped out and some real nice fish were caught.

The fishing today was very tuff. We did catch some quality fluke and sea bass but not enough to keep up the fluking.
Starting on friday Sept 14 we will be doing Striper, sea bass and porgy fishing with some occasional fluking, The fishing times remain the same 7AM til 3PM. FOR MORE INFO GIVE CAPT. ED CALL 631-668-4700
The tide conditions on our long range trip forced a change in plans. When we got to the grounds we had wind against tide, so we returned to our regular grounds. A decent catch was put together of fluke with on ofe 10# fluke among the 15 that were kept. Quite alot of real nice sea bass also some scup, blues and ling.
With the fluking conditions the way they are tomorrow we will start our fall schedule. We will be striper, sea bass and porgy fishing.

Early report from Capt Ed. By 8:30 there were already a dozen stripers on the boat along with a mess of blues.
WOW what a day today on the MARLIN VI PRINCESS with our new schedule.
By 9:30 we had 18 stripers and a mess of blues on the boat. Then off to the bottoms grounds and it was lock and load fishing. A boat limit of sea bass, all the porgies you wanted. We also had some triggers and albies.
To top thing off we had 8 fluke as a by catch with no one was even targeting the all had sea bass and scup rigs on.
Guys its mixed bag fishing time and we are doing it every day from 7AM til 3PM so come on out.
Another good day of mixed bag fishing on the MARLIN VI PRINCESS. The early bass bite was very good again today with over 20 striper and a bunch of blues. With the strong NW wind we fished the south side today and loaded up on scup, sea bass and triggers and 1 weakfish. Mixed bag fishing is hot so come on out and get in on the action. We sail 7AM til 3 PM.
Early report, as of 9:30 with 21 fares we have limited out on
stripers to 20#. Now we are off t do some bottom fishing.

Mixed bag fishing doesn't get much better.
We finished the day with a nice mix of sea bass and scup.
Another good day on the MARLIN VI PRINCESS. Jigging for stripers produced over 30 keepers and quite a few that just missed. Refinished the day with sea bass, porgy and triggers.
The weather for the next few days does not look to good so give Capt. Ed a call for more info on our next sailing date, now it looks like Thursday.
We finished with a nice mess of sea bass, scup and triggers. Blues also made an appearance.
After the blow of the last few days the fishing has returned to normal. With the early tide today we started on the sea bass and porgy grounds and the bite is very good with sea bass, scup a few blues and one striper. we will finish with stripers as the tide turns in the afternoon.
The conditions did not allow us to finish off with stripers today. Most on the trip had their limit of sea bass and all the porgys they wanted .

Another good day of mixed bag fishing on the MARLIN VI PRINCESS. Sea bass and porgy made up most of the catch. We also had a few stripers and blues. Another good day of mixed bag fishing on the MARLIN VI PRINCESS. With a lite cloud all limited on sea bass and all had all the scup they wanted. A few fluke and blue were also landed. Fishing open boat 7AM til 3 PM.
The blues and allbies were in control on the jigging grounds this morning we also had two stripers. Capt. Ed decided to take the MARLIN VI PRINCESS to Block Island. I will post the full later today.
