Got the 205 - home @430 trains so packed I had ask the entire car of guys in the middle to move in to make room ,, used my authority voice to move the crowd ... as bad as the subway or worse..struck up a conversation with women Elesha behind me .. helped pass the time and made me feel better

Good thing I left when I did because for it was already 4_5 inches by 4pm
GOT gas tonight in the driving snow ice ..had to go to the back roads lake gas station .. the day before people were lined up down the block @ all the station's in the area depleting the fuel to empty -- lucky this station had a delivery of regular .. no one there..
And people driving like idiots

Dumb neighbor got his challenger stuck in front of his house for an hour .. sports car in snow -- smart

Got a knock on the door soon after... it was ups man actually delivery a package from Mister Twisted_-

SUPER Fondue BOWL ~ 3S70MF ~$1 store EVA ~ 2-3-13

A year ago today I went to the sports man show and found the 2 Rogue blanks which started the rod building..
7 Rods built:
4 good:
Rogue 6-12
Rogue 10-20
Kevins rod CRB 6-12?
Cheap 8-17 non name $18
3 Bad:
St Croix - 5S68MXF - Fact 2nd - shatter BREAK
St Croix - 3s70MF - Fact 2nd - Break
St Croix - 5S70MF-B-10 - New $120 - BREAK
-----> (Jan 2012: replaced under warr $30 with a new 5S70MF-B)

So now I am building on 2 more Fact 2nd St coix ( foolish?)
I think the 5s70MHF will be ok
but the 3s70MF might just break again like the others..
so both are on the fast track built..After checking all of the 7 St Coix 2nd blanks I have in inventory - the only one that seemed to be straight and free of blemishs or waves was this one...so if this works out - i'll build on the $120( now $150) SCV new Blank...if it breaks..Ebay..
I think I going to ebay the rest as well..

this AVid blank is getting left over components.. even the seat is a cheap $4-$5 small Mudhole size 16? cork seat - very similar to the one they us on OEM rod- just fits the blank and the 3000FJ.. left over cork handles needed tape backing to fit in 2 sections..plus went to the $1 store and picked up some EVA foam toys/ crafts parts for accents..1/2 the foam seems like it will work..this rod will be the test model..looks like it will work.

Also put the 33rpm motr n Stand together as well. Still cant find the other stands + 18rpm motor..???

FEB ~ 5S70MHF ~ 2 - 1 -13

New years res slowed--- I did empty 7-8 bins and consolidated Rod building and tools into my old dresser...

But now FEB starts all of the shows:

Flea Market 3rd ( same Super Bowl)
LI boat show - 8-10th
Ward Melville fish team
Flea Market again

and I just started building the heavier ST Croix SCv 2nd Blank I have laying around:

---------------------------------------------------
5S70MHF-G
- Bass/Pike
- LES70MHF - equvaulent Rod model
- 7'
- MH
- FAST 1pc
- 8-14
- 3/8-3/4 oz
- 0.510 bUTT
- 5.5 tIP
- 2.1 oZ
- HKS-5 hANDLE KIT
- $190 COST OF BLANK ( I paid $50-60? for it Ebay)
--------------------------------------------------------------
TIME:
2 hrs - handle cork fitting 2-1-13
20 min to Glue all components. 2-2-13
2 hrs - Set up and sand handle 3-9-13
1 hr - visit J&H to measure St coix guides and size comparo 3-15-13
2 hrs - fix and set guides 3-16-13
2 hrs - 3 guides wrapped 3-16-13
2 hrs - 5 small guides warpped and accent wrap 3-19-13
1 hr - make,Glue poplar butt end on and sand 3-20-13
15 min - cork seal and color set accent wrap. 3-20-13

--------------------------------------------------------------

feels very stiff.. doing an ultra quick build split grip - going to put min. time in on this with min work..because if this one breaks...I am done with ST croix Blanks..Still have yet to fish any I put time into due to breaking 8" from the tip -- 3 in a row..yike.. all light rods - I feel like this still rod is solid..only saw a blemish in the finish near the butt/ middle.. came witha clean cut off end already as well..

couldnt locate any of my stands or drying motor?..odd - so I built 4 quick stands @ lunch in 20min.. slim profile.

already got the handle reamed and seat placement sorted out -- rear butt glued...
--------------------------------------------------------------
TIME:
2 hrs - handle cork fitting 2-1-13
20 min to Glue all components. 2-2-13
--------------------------------------------------------------

Gas @ $ 3.73
Train $334 ( goes up in a month)
