1984 Treasure Found === Nick Karas Guide to Saltwater Fishing ~ 2-4-12<br><br>While Digging through some old bins & cleaning out the basement this winter-<br>I found a few treasures of mine:<br>1983 & 1984 Nick Karas Guide to Saltwater Fishing both signed to me @ the Boat show of that year. Just picked up 2 new twin 2012 Shimano Stradic 3000FJs<br><br>Nice to have 2 new reels - Nicest reels I have ever had to start the season... $149.99 ea on the Bay..<br><br>We'll see how they hold up.<br><br>-The bail wire is smaller than the Saros.<br><br>-the clicker is different...they changed the shaft to Plastic gear? WhY?I will be closely monitoring that.<br><br>-Wider body than Saros<br><br>- Handle is smaller as well. but the new X-ship brought down from the Stella is suposed to improve the amount of pressure you can put on the handle / fish.. we'll see about this as well..<br><br>- Doesn't even come close to loading 145yds of 20lb braid on..I over loaded the real @ 125ish..takes more like 110yds.<br><br>-trying out the NEW Power Pro Super 8 ...havent bought new braid in a few years..suposed to be smoother casts and silent..we'll see about that as well.<br><br><br>Pd<br><br><br><br><br><br><span style="font:8pt;">This post edited by pdspeh69 12:18 PM 02/04/2012</span>

42 degrees..clear..<br><br>Well the way it's been acting - I never thought it would make it to see the flip to 113,000... but it did this AM.. Just as I rolled into the train station P-lot -- on Que.<br><br>got to sell it soon..I look like I might get it though Feb..then sell.<br><br>Have the o4 WJ just sitting in the driveway. waiting ...<br><br><br>Gas @ 3.73

Changed the Oil ( 38 degrees )- took me an Hour to get the drain plug off...man that thing was on there,.. had to put the Jeep on ramps to get more leverage...finally got it..took both hands<br><br>Valvoline 10w30<br>Pure One Filter..14670<br>$18.98 oil change..<br><br>48,492 miles....sweet ...<br><br>I have only been Driving about 3k per year.....so in 8 more years --- should have only 73k...on it..<br><br>Inspected the systems.
