We found the bass stacked on some structure last night. No size to speak of but consistent cookie-cutters 27-32" all night from 6pm-11pm. Had the most action at dead low...go figure. Ton of bait around and water still cool. I think we have another couple weeks of good bassin'.
After a few unsuccessful bass trips(filled with plenty of blues)we finally got the bite we were looking for on Friday night, 5/29. First bass over the transom was a keeper and they were consistent throughout the slack and into the incoming. Nothing huge - all 30"-34", but a solid bite nonetheless. Bunker chunks on top, bottom, and middle were all taken. We had a few misses and one little blue. Great night on the water with Keith and Z-Train.
Got out trolling with Seany on Sunday. The little guy didn't lose his touch over the winter. He pounded the blues pretty good, but has yet to land a striper. Water was glassy and the bunker pods were everywhere. We trolled in and around for only an hour or so and came up with 4 gorilla blues. This one was almost as big as him!
